The official website for The Sims 3 game, which as you probably already know is at www.thesims3.com, has received a minor facelift – or at least it’s homepage has.

When you pay a visit to The Sims 3.com you are greeted with an eye-catching animation which practically fills your line of sight from the second the website has loaded. The animation follows your mouse cursor, and allows you to hover over a number of different characters which are standing around in what appears to be Sunset Valley, the neighbourhood you will find yourself in when your copy of The Sims 3 arrives in June!

As you hover over each of the characters you will see a small information box popup with a brief description of that character or the in-game features or abilities which they represent. With each information box is a link to a specific part of The Sims 3.com website, too, helping you learn more about the details that interest you the most.

Needless to say this is not a huge deal, but as we intend to be your first stop for everything you could want to know about The Sims 3, it was certainly worth mentioning! Take a look now at www.thesims3.com and let us know what you think of the new introductory animation.
