One of the best ways to earn a living in The Sims 3 without using cheats is to write novels and sell them. You can begin writing novels on a computer, it’s best to start with fiction novels and as you write your writing skills will automatically increase allowing you to write more kinds of novels, and in shorter time too.
You will gain most income from writing best-selling Romance novels. With a little dedication to skill increasing and writing regularly you can receive around 40,000 simoleons per week for a six-week period following the release of each novel.
Life After Death
If you pay a visit to Pleasant Rest Graveyard and look near the entrance gates you will see a bizarre looking plant named the Death Flower Bush. If you harvest the flower from this plant and keep it in the inventory of your Sim, you can trade it with the Grim Reaper for a second life should your sim be unfortunate enough to die.
Make Friends Through Music
Making friends in The Sims 3 can be a long process, but it does not have to be. There is a good way to befriend your neighbours by playing the guitar!
You first need to play the guitar often to increase your playing skill level until you reach 5 out of 10 at least. This will give you the ability to Play For Tips. When you have reached that point, put your guitar in your sims inventory and take a trip to the park and begin playing for tips – as a crowd gathers you will not only earn some extra cash, but if you continue playing for a long time your relationship with those watching will increase and they will eventually become friends.

to open the cheat box you hit ctrl,shift,alt and c the cheat for money is motherlode but the rest I don’t know yet
I had the same problem on my laptop, I just put ctrl + alt + windows + c and it worked super

how do i get twins?
I tried all of that and i still can’t get it to work.
To get twins type in ForceTwins.
To get 50,000 dollars type in Motherlode.
To get a 2,500 litetime rewards points to any active sim type in shazaam.
To get new traits for any active sim type in modify traits.
to get free realestate when buying a house or lot type in freerealestate!

How can you shorten or pause life in sims 3 like aging off from sims 2…. they age to quickly..
to move and deleate sims type in moveobjects on while your in buy mode. you turn off againg in options under gameplay there will be something to control how long they live or you can just make them stop againg buy turning againg off. hope it helps!!
make sure the cheats WORK before you post them here. i tried like 5 and they didn’t work.
so dont try shazaam, free realestate, modify traits, editincas, and force twins. none of them worked for me maybe you’ll have better luck with them but they do not work on my computer.
to make sims age up prematuley buy a birthday cake and make who ever you want to get older to blow out the candels! so u dont have to wait for someones birthday to have a birthday party!

For the above, using the fertility thing usually works. You can buy it with 10,000 lifetime points.
The Force Twins doesen’t work how do u 1. kill sims and 2.How do u inprove hunger and stuff with =out actually doing it?

-Kaching = Adds §1.000,- to household funds
-Motherlode = Adds §50.000,- to household funds
-Moveobjects on/off = Move unmovable objects
-constrainFloorElevation [true/false] = Use ‘false’ to make it possible to raise or lower the floor even when there are objects, flooring or walls on it.
-disableSnappingToSlotsOnAlt [on/off] = When on, objects will not snap to slots while holding ALT
-enablellamas [on/off] = Ok this is a joke. it’s in the cheatlist, but it does nothing. They just added it for fun.
-fadeObjects [on/off] = Toggles whether objects fade when the camera gets close to them. Does not affect sims.
-testingCheatsEnabled [true/false] = Use ‘true’ to enable debugmode. Can move needs, shift click mailbox to change careers, lock needs, etc.
-fps [on/off] = Displays framerate in upper right corner
-fullscreen [on/off] = Self explanatory. You can also change this setting in options by the way.
-hideHeadlineEffects [on/off] = Shows or hides talk/thought balloons
-jokePlease = Shows a random joke in the cheat console
-quit = Exits game
-resetSim [first name] [last name] = Returns Sim to a safe, neutral state at their home
-slowMotionViz [0-8] = Puts visuals in slow motion (does not affect in-game time).
-unlockOutfits [on/off] = Use before going to CAS. It shows career and service uniforms in CAS.
-familyfunds [Familyname] # = Add or extract money for a chosen family.

DEbug mode:in my neibor hood iv tiped in [boolprop testingcheatsenabled true] and it is telling me that boolprop is an invailed command and iv looked in almost every site but thats what it says to tipe that in and in create a sim press shift+n but it wont work can someone help plz i really really relaay really really really really want that ninga suit

Ignore the boolprop bit, thats only for Sims 2, and type in testingcheatsenabled true instead.

life fruit can give you 1 spare day every time you eat it.or when you are in the neiborhood go on options and select 90 day spam.

How the heck do you stop a sim from aging? My sim child is about to become a teen, but I want her to have a better “child” life first. I don’t want to stop everyone elses aging either. Cuz I have a sim that needs to have her baby.

Here are some of the testingcheastsenabled:
firstly, in the cheat box, type in: testingcheatsenabled true.
then hold down shift and click on the letter box.
then you will see a few options. Click wehich ever on you would like. To make all your sims in a lot happy untill the next save click “make needs static” or if that doesn’t come up you should see “make needs dynamic” instead. Click that then hold shift and click the mail box again a “make needs static” should come up that time.
When in birds eye view of the town after typing in “testingcheatsenabled true” in the cheat box, hold down shift and click anywhere on the map and your sim will teleport there! hope this helps anyone who wants to know some of the testingcheatsenabled!
Okay so I know that if you want to age up a Sim without waiting for their birthday, you buy a cake and throw a party and stuff. But when I click on the cake and click “Blow Out Candles” a little list pops up of Sims I can choose from to have the birthday. I’ve thrown 3 pointless birthday parties now because the Sim I want to age up is NEVER on the list of Sims to choose from (and yes, he’s part of my household). Any suggestions on what I can do? Thanksss.
@Jojo – Even if you turn aging off, your pregnant Sim will still have her baby
The baby just won’t age up until you either throw it a party or turn aging back on.

okay guys what you do is ctrl shit c then you type in testingcheatsenabled true. after you do that you can press shift and click the mailbox and there is a huge circle of things you can do like make all happy which makes everyone in a good mood so that u dont have to take care of their needs. you can also click shift and click your sim to change their trits or trigger their age after typing in testingcheatsenabled true. or you can do ctrl shift c and type help and it has the whole list of cheats that u can use in the game. have fun(: thanks
My sim has a birthday coming up, in the area that says what he’s doing, or going to do, it says, “Have birthday” How do i stop it. I paused it, for now. I dont want him to age up yet. If there’s no way to stop it, can i get him to go back to adult. (He’s going to be an elder if the b day goes through.) Help

@sarah: if you want your household or one sim to move you can click a house phone or cell phone && click move. then you can pick a house or lot to move into. If you want to move a house, i cant help because unfortunately I havent figured that out. So hope that it helps you. =)

how do u have tripletts
i dont know about if there is a cheat for having triplets, but if you have 10,000 lifetime wish points, you can click on the lifetime rewards box, and buy fertility treatment. It does not have definite results. For instance, i bought it for my male and female sim, and i only had twins:( But it increases the chance of twins and triplets. So try that if you don’t want to cheat.

Please help! I have sims 3 and my sims won’t age up! The aging up bar will not change and my sim keeps having birthdays, but doesn’t change. I have tried moving to a different house, reseting my sim, created a different family, and made sure aging was turned on. Can someone please help?
