With The Sims 3 recently being leaked, people are now beginning to discover and publish all sorts of new details for the game – though it’s sad things had to come out this way, it is new information none the less.
Here is an up to date list of confirmed The Sims 3 cheats! We are told these have all been tried and tested in the game, and worked perfectly!
Confirmed The Sims 3 Cheats
During the game, press and hold CTRL, SHIFT and C to open up the cheats command box, then enter the following codes to activate the desired cheat.
Motherlode
Adds 50,000 simoleons to your funds.
Kaching
Adds 1,000 simoleons to your funds.
Moveobjects on
Allows you to move objects which are not possible to move during open gameplay. The code Moveobjects off will return this setting to normal.
fullscreen [off]
Allows you to play The Sims 3 in a window. The code fullscreen [on] will return the game to full-screen mode.
jokePlease
A random joke will be displayed in the cheats command box.
fadeObjects [off]
Prevents objects from fading when the game camera gets closer. The code fadeObjects [on] will return the setting to normal.
unlockOutfits [on]
Enter this code before using Create-A-Sim to unlock all service and career uniforms to be usable. The code unlockOutfits [off] will return this setting to normal.
fps [on]
Your games frames-per-second rate will be displayed in the corner of your screen. The code fps [off] will return this setting to normal.
hideHeadlineEffects [on]
This will hide thought and speech bubbles. The code hideHeadlineEffects [off] will return this setting to normal.
resetSim [forename] [surname]
This will send the specified Sim to their home in a neutral state.
constrainFloorElevation [false]
Allows you to raise or lower the ground with objects and walls on it. The code constrainFloorElevation [true] will return this setting to normal.
disableSnappingToSlotsOnAlt [on]
This will prevent objects from snapping to grid-lines when the ALT key is held. The code disableSnappingToSlotsOnAll [off] will return this setting to normal.

I tried the shazaam cheat and it didn’t work?
As a Sims3 site you are listing the cheats for all of the OS platforms for which The Sims3 is made, right? So these cheats work on a Mac?
They don’t properly explain some of these cheats in the book, I found.
First, type in TestingCheatsEnabled true
Then, SHIFT Left Click on the mailbox for the following:
1. Force service sim (warning, if you have a child or younger, & click on social worker, the child will get taken away).
2. Force visitor
3. Make friends for me
4. Make me know everyone
5. Make happy (everyone)
6. Make motives static/dynamic
For sim related,Shift Left Click on particular sim:
1. Modify Traits
2. Add to household (if not already in)
3. Age Transition
For job related choices, choose the active sim with a job. Go into neighbourhood view & then Shift + Left Click on the job location:
1. Force Opportunity
2. Force Event
3. Force All Events
I haven’t been able to figure out shazaam yet, but I did find that once you Shift Left Click on the ground somewhere, you can Teleport there.

Have tried the shazaam cheat and it is not functioning, I have the collector edition. Are there others who are having this problem?
The Shazaam cheat is in the official guide for the sims 3. It completely pee’d me off when i found out that the shazaam cheat they mentioned doesn’t even work.
i cant get any to work but the make happy…is there any like maxmotives?
and how do you get the work ones to like work? when i do the left click it goes into the place where my sim has the job. and do include the spaces you put..?

During the game, go into options and you can turn the aging off.

Alleah, it seems if you have a laptop, possibly HP or Vista you have to do:
ctrl shift (windows key) c
The ctrl shift c is a short cut for HPs.

i heard that if you click in between the lifetime points number and the picture of the chest it will add 500 lifetime points. I tried and it didn’t work. Have any of you heard this? And if so, then did it work for you?

Is there a cheat that allows one to go back into the CAS and edit a sim later in the game? My sim’s face is a bit funky and I don’t like it.
sarahh: there is a new patch to speed up the 2> and 3> modes, but if its slow because your laptop is not able to handle it, other than cleaning up any old files there isnt much you can do.
SimsRosie: I havent found one, however I suspect there may be somethings you can do in the mirror, and there may (I havent checked yet) be a modifier as part of the rewards you can buy with your aspiration points.
If you tap ‘help’ into the cheat box a list of some cheats will be shown on screen.

Morgan- Duh. That cheat has worked since Sims 2. Two things. They’re called simoleans, and learn to spell “dollars”.

Just tried this and I can confirm it does work.
I can confirm that if your Sim makes sweet lovin(try for baby) in the bed with what is or was a Firefighter the demon spawn will gain a new hidden trait. I would like to call this Pyromania; the ability to set objects on fire. Pyro love playing with fire and such. But remember You can’t make a Sim a firefighter unfortunately.You can call the fire department (will cost you 500 sim dollars if there isn’t a fire on the lot) or you can usually see them downtown wandering around the park and whatnot.
cheat for lifetime rewards works without going back into main menu. On my PC I hold down both the shift and the ctrl while clicking with the ouse between the chest and reward points, but you must done the testingcheatsenabled true first
I just went from 250 reward points to 107,141 in two minutes using this method

i know it’s ‘aging off’ but i installed the sims 3 onto my laptop and it says aging off isn’t a command or something like that. help?
Nope, doesn’t work at all. I’m in the main menu, I enter testingcheatsenabled true in the box, then what? Select the family I want to add the lifetime reward points to? Ok, so I did, then opened the box and entered shazaam – I got a message saying shazaam is unknown, so nothing else worked.
I really would like to see it work though.

@casey In the Sims 3 games’s options you can choose if you want a family / Sim to get older or not. You can also choose if you want the story to continue in the background while you play with another household or not. That’s both something new in Sims 3.
@Tilly Dean: You don’t use shazaam in what they’re talking about. What Random was offering us was an alternative to shazaam, not a way to make it work. Instead of 2,500 points per code entered, you put the testing cheats code in the main menu, then shift-click in the spot mentioned to give your sim 500 points at a time. Not as efficient but the only way to cheat and get LR points at this time.

My sim has a really nice house and she has 1,0000,295! I keep using the motherlode thingy and the kaching thingy. The jokes are rubbish. Heres one from it – What time is it when elephants sit on your fence?

Helllllo… If you do testingcheatsenabled [true] and then do ctrl, shift + c then type buydebug, you get hidden objects.
I know how to increase life time points:
-go to main menu
-press ctrl+shift+c (for vista its ctrl+shift+windows+c)
-write testingcheatsenabled on
-choose the game and hit play
-go to your sim’s life time points and click to it with shift

if it doesn’t, there are videos in you tube that shows you how to do it.
Put on “TestingCheatsenabled on” and hold down Ctrl and click on a mood effect it makes it disappear. For examble, if you click on an effect such as “Fatigued” you can then work out again.
You are also able to drag the mood bars up and down as you wish.
It won’t work when I do the shift clicking on the mail box please help?
